I always wished a > 101 style in the Sc*%&twerk... hi florian, i have been jonesing for a system like that too, ever since i found out about the Emu system. it is also a very interactive environment and highly conducive to on the fly and real time playing and improvisation. i own an Sh 101 as well and it is always connected to my A100. the Sh 101 sequencer is a simple and easy to operate sequencer. it is the ideal way to develop quick ideas on the A100. once the phrase is done off to the MPC it goes for more editing and eventually to a song chain with other patterns. they should consider building one to go with the A100. you would be able to do SH 101 style sequences with the Schaltwerk, if the Bloody thing would have a tied note function, you could chain a whole bunch of patterns together to get phrases longer than 16 steps. on the doepfer website forum, Chris Assal says there is 15% memory left but continually refuses to acknowledge this fact after he has written this statement. he says only ten people are dissatisfied with their Schaltwerks( a bit of a pipe dream when you consider the amount of people selling their schaltwerks(oops, i guess they got tired of doing straight 16th note sequences)). imagine all the people who aren`t buying it because it doesn`t have such a simple musical function implemented.
