> just me two cents. > > best, > > Peter ... and here are mine:- Firstly I agree with Peter and various others earlier in the thread - keep it simple, so that the new module is complemented by existing modules, to allow greatest flexibility without becoming overly complicated. For example, if control of direction was a simple digital high=backwards/low=forwards (say) input, then adding a A160 clock-divider into the equation will give required switching for a pendulum mode. Use a 163 VC Freq Divider instead gives even more fun possibilities - the mind just boggles (and I get the impression that list members are *really* taken with the idea of this possible new module...) As for Dieter's info... > The A-155 control board (this is the small board with > the 4 buttons and 4 jack > sockets) has a 10 pin connector that is used to > control the analog boards > (potentiometers) and the gate/trigger board > (switches). The 10 pins of this > connector have the following functions: > > A0, A1, A2 (adresses for 4051 multiplexer on > potentiometer and trigger boards) > Clock ... that the 4051 control pins are so accessible may have sold him another module - might just go out and buy one to see what's possible! Tim P.S. for Peter: > prototype of my own at home. I used an ADC 0804 chip, which - are you sure this number is right - had a quick look at Analog Dev. site and couldn't find it? Is it just a mere 4 bits, or more like 8 or 10 and your're just using the top 4?
