what I would like the most is to just skip a step, if it is 'off' then
immediately
the next step is taken, so the number of actual steps will be reduced
I don't think this option can be made with a reset, because the reset will
always give a restart from step one
and I really think it is a musical usual feature to skip one or more steps
at one moment and switching them
on at a later moment, in order to have your sequence varying constantly, in
this case you will be able to select
some tones of a sequence at a later moment, this is quite different from
skipping steps that are -always- on the
end of the sequence (i.e. by using the reset)....unless I don't know about
the option to use reset for skipping steps in the
way I mean it
if I remember well some 'vintage' sequencers have the possibility to skip
steps and just act like it wasn't there...when you use
this feature it gives the real 'TD-Franke' sequence feel....

the second option is something which is already possible, by just directing
the trigger or gate
of that step to an output that is not connected, at least that is the way I
do it, maybe it can be
made a bit more elegant....? I noticed a posting on this in the past about a
trigger/sequencer: which gives triggers
according to a series of 16 switches (a trigger is given whether on or off),
if you have such a triggersequencer and use
it as a clock for the A154/155 you can elegantly vary the duration of each
step in your sequence....this would be a very
useful feature too...
