just my irrelevant 2 cents, but yes, i absolutely agree, and have thought so since the first time years ago i got a third-party euro mod & was disappointed that it didn't do that. having cv & gate on the bus is one of those little touches, something so obvious most people probably wouldn't even think of it, that makes Eurorack such a great and flexible format. almost by accident Euro has become a de facto standard modular format, and a completely open one at that, so yeah, more mod makers should be taking every advantage of all the possibilities Dieter's system is capable of. if a mod of any kind responds to 1v/oct or gates it should have the option to use the bus or not (a couple jumpers to select, or like the 110s & 140s it uses the bus unless you plug a cable in the front jack).

    Still to this day, I just don’t understand why more modules don’t connect to the CV and Gate bus. It doesn’t add that much to put a 16-pin header on the PCB (space is the only problem for some) and a header to enable the function. Almost every Synthwerks product we make that produces a CV or Gate connects to this bus. I have converted every other makers modules in my rig that don’t to use it. With a A-185 the system is perfect.-James
