Isn't there some kind of import tax though? If I buy from the U.S. I get stung for about 2-3% duty then 20% VAT when it gets to the UK. Oddly most U.S. Manufactured modules are cheaper for me to buy from Australia!!!! I have no idea why that is. 

With the falling Euro the UK distributed of Doepfer EMIS has definitely got cheaper which is great - and always helpful when you call.
