Re: Midi sync problem

2001-12-18 by buechlerjoe

I tried out the Shepard generator when I first got the A191, but I'm
sorry not to have any creative thoughts regarding it - I haven't
switched the A191 to Shepard mode since then. The Midi/CV sockets and
the Midi-synced LFOs are far too useful to me. I consider the A190/191
to be a single integrated Midi interface, and I can't imagine trying
to get by with just the A190 alone.

A thought occurred to me about my sync problem. My previous master
clock source might have been confusing the A191 in some mysterious
way, sometimes leaving it in phase, sometimes out of phase. Perhaps it
was in the "out of phase" state when I switched over to the Regelwerk.
I'm going to temporarily re-connect the original clock source, and try
to get the A191 back to the "in phase" state. If that doesn't work,
I'll directly email Doepfer about the problem.
