I was not aware of that difference. It seems Dieter needs to put some warnings on the website about all these potential problems. I’m no expert but we recent had a nightmare installing cctv at work and found the reason was the installers wired some com ports with the US standard so a couple of wires are reversed. > > Neil > > Sent from my iPhone > >> On 30 Dec 2017, at 11:43, Jacco Ville jaccoville@yahoo.com [Doepfer_a100] <Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com> wrote: >> >> Seems there are cross-cables also.... >> >> I’m not very familiar with CAT cables but when this module was introduced I took a small dive into this kind of connections because the provided cable is a bit short. >> >> >> Sent from my IPhone.. >> >>> Op 30 dec. 2017 om 11:31 heeft Neil Kagan nkagan@mac.com [Doepfer_a100] <Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com> het volgende geschreven: >>> >>> >>> Do they use a cat5e or cat6 cable? Almost Happy (Christian) New Year. I bought myself a pair of the new multicore modules as a Xmas treat (how incredibly useful in a large system Dieter - amazing that no-one has thought of it before). I have a very odd problem - The modules link perfectly with the cables supplied but they are only very short. When I try any other network cables however nothing seems to connect. I have checked the cables by linking my laptop to the router and that works fine, but I get no connections at all when I use them between the A180-9s. One of them is 1m long and two are 3m. Any suggestions please? >>>> Jonathan >>>> From my iPad Air >>> >> > > >
