RE: [Doepfer_a100] Re: NEW INFO FROM DOEPFER ABOUT NAMM 2003 AND MORE!!! + WOOD Debate

2003-02-04 by David Salter

Yep, an octave switch would essential for those octave jumping solo's.

I don't have a preference over wood or "industrial" finish for the kbd.
My modular is housed in wood (personal preference) but as long as it
works and is strong I don't mind.

Functionality then: 4 octaves, two wheels (a third would be a bonus),
groove in the case top for the A198 strip, octave switch, built in lfo
for vibrato and a slew control would be useful as well. If at all
possible 4 note poly like the Roland 184 keyboard from the 100M system.

Any comments?

good point. another idea would be to add a 3-way switch to scale
the
octave up or down for a greater range.
