Doepfer

Hi folks,

well, I can´t agree with Hans´ worst-module-opinion in every point.

A-110 VCO (I don´t really like it, too.)
pros: nice sound; cheap; octave switch
cons:  tune range isn´t large enough; no fine tune, no lin FM input 
(although it is possible to add this function (and soft sync) by 
modding. There are solder points on the PCB for this functions!).
BTW: They were cloned from Moog The Rogue, as far as I know.

For my person, I´d like to see another VCO from Doepfer, too. It may be 
only a modified A-110 but with without the cons. Call it 110b or 110x 
(for "extended").


RS90 from ASys is a nice one, but I really, really HATE tunig it!

A-121 multimode filter: I really love it as it can sound quite sharp and 
aggressive. Although it is a -12dB/oct filter, I prefer it to the A-122, 
which is based on the same chip (CEM 3320) and has a slope of -24dB/oct.

A-140 ENV: quick quick quick. great for fast sequences.

The WASP filter clone was originally designed by Jürgen Haible and 
"borrowed" by Doepfer. Check Mr. Haible´s website, he´s a real

freq shifter: Well, the frequency shifter is a real nice electronic toy, 
but the one from Doepfer is quite wack. Check the one from ASys (forgot 
the name), which is quite expensive...
