Ulrich, If you attenuate the input to the A136, you will get an undistorted waveform. Here's the settings I use to get a neutral sound: VCO --> A138 (Input=7, Output=10) --> A136 (+A=0, +L=0, A=5, -L=10, - A=0). It should be noted that the A136 uses clipping and amplification to modify waveforms, so clipping should be expect with an unattenuated input.
