Latest news: The VU prototype is ready and works
perfect (the illuminated moving display looks great,
especially in a dark room). But in contrast to our
announcement we will probably manufacture the module
with a 10V meter and +5V offset. We tested the module
in several A-100 set-ups but in all applications only
a small section of the 15V display range was required
(e.g. for CV display of LFOs, ADSRs, random voltage or
mixed voltages, as well as for audio signals of VCOs,
filters ....). Normally less than about half the 15V
display range is used. So we tend to use the 10V meter
in the final version. The 15V could never be used
within the A-100 as the max. output of any A-100
module (including the output of the internal VU meter
electronics)  is about 10V for 12V supply (approx.
1.5...2V less than the supply). As the VU module is
part of the A-100 we think it is more important that
the module matches with A-100 requirements than the
requirements in combination with systems of our
competitors.
