hello list, last weekend i've received some new modules, the most interesting are a137, a149/2 and a154. a137 ---- a great module. creates fat sync-like sounds out of a single triangle/sine waveform. it is a bit difficult to get a neutral setting, but who wants that anyway? i tried envelopes to control several parameter and got very interesting results. with complex audio such as drumloops it can be used as a distortion unit with a very harsh sound. but it is definitely best to use it with simple waveforms with no or only few overtones. a149/2 ------ does what it does. my unit triggers with both a149/1 clock inputs, which is not as described on the doepfer homepage. i guess that i have one of the first a149/1, in which only one shift register is used? the a149/2 is nice for retriggering lfo's, envelopes and stuff like that. a154 ---- very nice. it was worth the wait, all modes work very well. the one-shot mode is cool, i wanted that feature badly. now i got it, which is great. please note that if you use two a155 with it, the second a155 won't be controllable with it's own start-stop-clock-buttons, even when the a154-function is switched off. no problem for me. i recommend this module for all a155-users. i hope to receive the a101/3 this week, i'll write more when i got this gizmo. best wishes ingo
