I started out with a couple of 2nd hand Doepfer modules facing contact probs every now and then. On some jacks I've worked with a screwdriver as suggested earlier here. But after I've read on ASol HP that they was an issue with non standarized plugs in the past I tend to avoid the older patch cords which came with the 2nd hand stuff and rather use the recently bought ones. Probably pure chance but it works so far. Could be an alternative to those who don't want to solder. Regards, Ilanode
