hello ernst,
i really recomment the a196 for crazy effects! i have
used it mainly with an a110 vco for pitched sounds,
but even these pitched sounds have a special
"digital-like" noise-odd quality!you really can create
many unpredictable effects with the a196, that would
be very difficult to create with other modules. or you
would have to use a lot of other a100 modules to
create the same wierd effects that you can achieve
with only one a196! that's why i have three a196's.
AND, you can also use it as a standard pulsewave vco,
BUT, with linear cv(you can control this linear vco
from a yamaha cs or korg ms monosynth).
