Re: Fwd: DIY page (doepfer's comment)

Hi,

I've been studying the DIY site all evening, and I have to admit,
as a non-electrical engineer, I find it quite useless. The
diagrams provided may allow a qualified person to build the
circuits, but not someone like me.

For instance, every circuit involves resistors, but in only one
casse is a resistor value suggested. In a number of cases an
Op Amp is used, according to the diagram, but I still don't know
how to wire the thing up; I can't even tell from the diagrams which
way round to wire the jack sockets. The instructions at

www.angelfire.com/music5/a100/sounds/DIYmodules/DOC1.ht
ml

are crystal clear. It tells me what components I need to get,
which point is attached to which other point. Unfortunately there
are only a couple of modules on it.

I suspect the people who can make sense of the Doepfer DIY
page could have worked out the circuits for themselves. I don't
like being negative, but I feel a bit left out by all this.

Stuadh (all warmed up with nothing to solder)
