Hey,

Instead of looking for another commercial design to clone... 

Why not come up with a good thru-zero FM vco?  I've tried two 
different designs (both from Electronotes).... both are timbrally 
very rich and as far as I know, no one's every commercially sold 
a Thru Zero VCO.
