hello, > hello shawn, > ok, but the vc matrix module poll is already open for > ages.why should i create a new poll? Only to refer to the optimized size of the matrix, the current poll shows that this module is at least somewhat desirable. I guess a new poll wouldn't do much good in this respect, its a better question for beta testers and r&d (i.e. cost vs. features). People being polled might get carried away, and bigger matrices = tremendous cost. > my opinion is that a matrix module would be great, but > it would make it much more interesting(and for dieter > to develope, also) if it was voltage controlable. for > example, you could change the matrix routings via > voltage control. but, i do't know what the price of > such a module would be. your opinion dieter? I just went back and re-read the poll...I had forgotten about the features you requested...yes that could be very cool. I think the price ceiling for a single module (at least in the US) cannot top more than $350 USD unless it was extremely complex, say the proposed single voice module a la Ob SEM, and of course more expensive modules sell less. The A-107 sales have not been dissapointing (from my view) but then again it offers a lot of functions for the price, and unique morphing. But also anything that effects audio in such an obvious way sells the most from my perspective... The other thing to consider is the time spent developing this module, will it take away from R&D time for the BBD-delay (this one is at the top of my list), TKB (I hear delivery requests almost everyday) and other unique modules.
