Isn't that poll for a patch matrix like the A.Sys. Synapse?
Personally, I would like a matrix mixer more (or at least give priority to
it as there's little design to be done for it), like the simple one Dieter
spoke of. 
They are very different beasts.  And of course the hardware is main cost,
but that is also true if we build it ourselves.
I just want something like the CGS Matrix Mixer, very simple, but very
useful! great for getting all kinds of feedback loops going:
