The connectors in my system are that heavy seated, that it requires a 
dedicated force to remove the cable. I cannot imagine, that the normal 
cables can remove on their own, only by their own weight.

Any kind of this material contains ingredients, that make the material 
soft. These softeners tend to "soften" also other materials: PCBs, 
capacitors, ...

Again, my question you did not answer: are you sure, that the cables and 
connectors are original Doepfer material?
