Those pads use piezo pickups, that give a much too short signal, that 
the A119 could make a difference from the dynamic playing.

You may try to use the pads output direct as initiating signal for a 
resonating filter. This will give drum sounds in the TR808 style for 
minimum.
Another possibility could be to feed the pads output to the lower half 
of the slew limiter and use the falling edge of the slewlimiter as 
Decay-only-envelope.
