We have built a shield (before the PSUII) made of 1 mm steel that covered the spring system completely but it did not help very much. The problem is the magnetic shielding not the electrical shielding. A simple foil will not help from our experience. The only material I know that can be used for magnetic shielding is u-metal (the greek u). I don't know if the same term is used in English language. But this material is very expensive and hard to find. We show the A-199 in a suitcase with PSUII in Frankfurt. I will tell you the results after the fair. Best wishes Dieter Doepfer
