The A-105 is very nice for that to. I have no experience with the A-108, but I assume, that is very nice for this kind of sounds, as the A-120 is, if you overload it a littlebit. For the "> Not a blip or zap, mind you, more like a knock" I recommend to hardsync the oscillator by the Gate(!). Also I recommed to use the same envelope for the VCA as for the VCF (or should I say, I recommend to build a copy of the MS-404 ;-) ) Florian
