another thing which i've overlooked, maybe it will make the
a163 obsolete for your task.
you can of course divide by 3 or 6 with the a160/a161 combination,
by feeding back the 4 or 7 output of the a161 to the reset input
of the a160 and using the 3 or 6 output of the a161 as divided
output.
