i play an octave cat from time to time and i like it too. the problem is that the cat was available in three versions. the first one had a discrete filter with a fat sound, but bad tracking. the second version had a ssm2040-based filter, which was replaced by an ssm2044 in the third version. i believe that the version i know has the ssm2040 inside. it has a very sharp peaking resonance and has to be adjusted very carefully. a ssm2044 filter is already available (a105) and i don't see the necessity for another filter clone which sounds just a bit different than something which is already available. for me it would be much more interesting to have a filter with a really different sound, for example the polivoks filter. just my 2 cents. best wishes ingo --- In Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com, "eyesleeandrews" <grand.poohbah@c...> wrote: > I wanted to offer up an idea for a new filter module.
