Personally speaking I like the idea of no range switch, it's probably better for 
insane multitap-like fx? Just speculating...

by the way: 1v/oct is nowadays called one Moog by some people, see 
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moog under "proposed unit of measure"
