Believe me, it is. In my brief foray into Synthesizers.com I was more than annoyed to find the system so pointlessly underpowered in module range and certain accoutrements - I knew some of this going in, but the experience of actually using it was such as to make me literally embarrassed to own it. It out east-coasts the east-coast design philosophy by a factor of 5. Please tell me the purpose in this day and age of manufacturing an envelope the size of an ashtray, having no range switch, no retrigger, and only one output, let alone an inverted output. :/ Compare that with Doepfer's basic ADSR. Doepfer ropes a big swath of what's best and most interesting in analog modulars into a huge range of offerings from which the buyer can assemble just about the most interesting and most flexible analog modular system imaginable, and all at the best prices. It's not just assuredly the best value modular system currently in production, it's in many respects the best modular system ever in production. --Chuck _____ From: Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com [mailto:Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of David Salter Sent: Tuesday, January 10, 2006 10:36 AM To: Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com Subject: RE: [Doepfer_a100] Module Price Increase ? --- can doepfer confirm. Dieter, Thank you for the additional explanation. Even with the increases the Doepfer system is still probably the best value modular system currently in production.
