Re: [Doepfer_a100] a good start up system

2006-02-05 by Andy Bell

many thanks to those that have replied so far.

Martin:
I agree, it does depend and I no one can say -" buy this, it's the
perfect system" ! Thanks for pointing out the age of the system 1
modules and the newer quad lfo/adsr modules.
As you say, a lot of modulation in a small space. Also, good news
that the a110's sound ok - they are a lot cheaper than a111's. I
think I'd like at least 4 vco's in my system.
I'll check out the a133 & a185 too.
Filterwise, either a good multimode (a121) or something a bit
esoteric. (a127).

Jean:
I thinks that's my concern - I'll patch up new toy and realize I've
speced a casio vlz by mistake.
Once I get a reasonable foundation system, I want to look in some of
the other stuff out there - like the Blacet modules.
Although they may just be quite ordinary units with unusual names, I
don't know.

Davevosh;
thanks for your config idea - interested to see the vactrol stuff in
there. is it very different to other lpf's?
also, I have a maq 16 so I'm not sure if the a155 might be redundant.

thanks again everyone.
