Doepfer

As an avid Doepfer user I thought members of the group would be
interested in this....

I'm currently in the process of setting up a high-quality bi-weekly
podcast running for 30-60 minutes and featuring a compilation of
home-brewed electronic music. The reasons are for doing so are purely
altruistic as I can't help but feel that there is a wealth of decent
electronic music out there, being produced on some of the coolest
modular synths that anyone could imagine (I include myself in that<s>).
Therefore to bring some of that together to distribute to a wider
audience can only be a good thing.

When I say Electronic Music that obviously covers a wide spectrum of
styles, but rather than become prescriptive in what we want and want we
don't want, let's just say that the "purer" the analogue sound the more
chance there'll be of getting it featured on the podcast. So whether
it's ambient or avant-garde, dance or pure synth pop send it in and
we'll attempt to get it up onto the "airwaves".

I'll mail you back confirming receipt of the track. The higher the
quality of file the better, although in order to get as much onto the
show as possible each fortnight we may compress stuff back to around
128bps, although the aim is to get the highest possible quality for
every track. Also when sending in tracks feel free to include to include
any photographs, biographies, text, links etc and we'll endeavour to
include this within each podcast.

We're hoping to get the first compilation up within the next fortnight
and if there has been sufficient interest from members of this group
(and if no-one objects) I'll post the url for the podcast up here for
people to subscribe to.
