Doepfer

Just received some of the new cables in my latest order from Doepfer 
and I have to say I am very disappointed in the quality. The old 
cables were nice and flexible and seemed to be of a nice high quality 
wire whereas the new ones use quite stiff shielded cable which makes 
them look rather cheap.

Can anyone recommend another source for high quality colour coded 
3.5mm mono cables? I do have a reel of high quality shielded cable 
that is the right size for 3.5mm plugs just hanging around; perhaps I 
am better off not bothering with colour coded cables and just 
soldering up my own cables.

Anybody else here similarly disappointed? Am I being hypercritical?
