Oh, I forgot reset-switches/buttons.
I think this and what I mentioned above ought to be a
minimum for a stepsequencer.
I just sold my Schaltwerk.
If it had had just 16 endless knobs linked to the selected
track, that would have been perfect.
And a row of resetbuttons below those knobs.
