blowing fuses again

blowing fuses again

2006-04-20 by controlexsanguinate

Sorry to bother everyone again but I'm still having problems. The G6
powered up a few times and not it won't. It just keeps blowing fuses.
Well I thought I fixed the problem by removing the A-122 but now both
of my G6s that have the PSU2 power supplies are blowing fuses. I got
them to power on then I turned them off and then back on and they blew
a fuse again. Any suggestions?

Take care,
Thomas

I suggest:

Remove all modules. Turn on. If it blows, contact supplier and
return PS & case.

Add one module, turn it on.

If it blows, report it here with detail. If not, proceed:

Add one more module...

rinse & repeat.

You need to start with does the case work with no modules and then
with only one. After that, add them one at a time.

Bottom line: the only way to test or debug is to limit each test to
one, and only one, variable in order to isolate the defect.

it is frustrating and time-consuming.

And it always turns out to be the last one you test (joke).

Imagine debugging the same thing when you are designing a "simple"
circuit from a prototype breadboard before production? Now add the
cost of that work into the base price of a module and realize the
fantastic bargain we get from Dieter for international distribution
of a wide-range of modules with decent reliability.

done pontificating, hope this helps.

Good luck.
