RE: [spam] Re: [Doepfer_a100] Re: ideas/opinions on quantizer and (VC) arpeggiator

Hi Florian, For appegiators I have an SH101 and also a Roland 184 keyboard and my Waldorf Pulse plus I have the MAM appegiator for controlling things like my Technics WSA-1. However in context of my modular system I suppose I misunderstood as I thought the thread was talking about a midi only appegiator rather than a midi to CV converter that has an appegiator sitting between the outputs. This would be a great addition. Thanks for the clarification. I don't use midi much as I find the 128 step quantising very limited. With an arpeggiator we are talking about how to generate note information of a chord! This chord is broken up to an arpeggio. With CV you can display a chord only by several parallel CVs (one for each note of the chord). I do not know how much about your experience with arpeggiators, but I work really a lot with them in my SH-101 and the MonoPoly, and I mostly use wide chords of more than six often over ten notes. To be realistic: the question is only whether to use MIDI or to build a separate keyboard with real keys. Florian ________________________________ YAHOO!
