Help with A-156 Quantizer

Help with A-156 Quantizer

2006-08-01 by Dan Levey

I just picked up the above module and am getting crummy results with
sequenced notes. The output CV is extremely slewed on each note.
Reminds me of extreme Auto-Tuning on Vocals where each note is quickly
bent to the correct one. Here it sounds dirty and messy, not what I
expected. Is this the best this can do or is there a method to using
this module?

thanks, Dan Levey

I solved this myself. Needed a gate to the trigger input to go with
each note. That made it nice and smooth!

AW: [Doepfer_a100] Help with A-156 Quantizer

2006-08-01 by hardware@doepfer.de

There should be no slew at the A-156 outputs but fast steps to the next
voltage that fits to the current settings (scale/chord/major/minor....). You
have to connect the CV out of the A-156 directly to the CV input of the VCO.
In this case no slew should occur.

Best wishes
