New Doepfer User /Rack Question

New Doepfer User /Rack Question

2006-09-04 by inform3r@optonline.net

I'm a long time user of MOTM format modules but I'm psyched to say that
I've recently made the jump of building a Doepfer system too!
Here's my question. I've seen Subracks (euroracks) on the net for
considerably much less $$ than Doepfer or AS brand. Do any list members here
use "non-Doepfer" brand racks? Where's a good place to get one? Also, how
would I power the system since these racks don¹t come with built-in psu like
the Doepfer and AS brand. Appreciate any help.

    Thanks,
    John

Hi John

dont come with the power board etc, but its way cheaper, more money to
spend on more Euros

Where did you get them and how do you plan on wiring it up for the psu?
In other words does Doepfer offer a ready-made psu that all you have to do
is mount inside the case?

    Thanks,
    John

subrack, total was US$129...not including PS and bus board....

I, like most of us down under I expect, would also like to know the
source of said racks.

Hi Adam

They are called Eurocad panels and you should be able to track them down
in most computer stores. but mine were on sale, so not sure of real price.

I found the racks to be very expensive and I wanted to spend my money on
more Doepfer modules
