Power protection device ( like APC ) recommended ?

Power protection device ( like APC ) recommended ?

2006-10-05 by glabbeur

Hi list ( again )

Sorry for my newbie question ! ;-)

I would like to know if it makes sense to buy a " battery back-up "
kind of device to insure longer trouble free life of a PSU2 based
system ( and modules inside ).
I have some very rare power cuts but it's more about power not being
constant when you plug and unplug electric devices producing "
transient " surge or ebb " that may produce wear on some components.

Thanks in advance again !

There is nothing that could be destroyed by powercuts. So a UPS or
somethign similar is not necessary. (This is analogue - you can shoot it
to the sky and let fall it back to earth and it will still work ;) )

Move to quarantaine
