the doepfer a-149-1/2 is very nice as are the wiard wogglebug and  noise ring.
hopefully, as part of the 149 series, doepfer will also release a more  
elaborated smooth r.v.g. (i think this may be in development currently -  ?)

Yes. It's the A-149-3 fluctuating voltages module with vactrol slew limiters
for smoothening the CVs. I expect that it will be available ~ spring 2007.
