OEM USB64 module

OEM USB64 module

2006-11-24 by Roskapostit

Hello list and Dieter,

The usb module does look promising but I was hoping all along that
Doepfer would add outputs similar to MTC64! Now then we would have a
superiously versatile module for thr DIY crowd! 32 inputs is _plenty_
indeed and the next 32 stages would be _perfect_ for outputting led
information and such. One board to combine all the functions you would
need to built an very very capable controller.

If you would not choose to include the output instead the half of the
inputs, one would againg be stuck in the old school of midi with
absolutely no real benefit from the usb connection in the first place...

Please consider,
Cheers,
Aku

We were considering a combined module when the CTM64 and MTC64 were
developed. The circuits are completely different for the input and output
part (inputs: analog multiplexers, outputs: digital registers). A combined
module would be not (or only a little bit) cheaper than the two separate
modules. And many customers only need one direction and would have to pay
for the unused part. This is why we will not develop a combined module.
Sorry.

Best wishes
Dieter
