Hey, I am planning to buy an A-100 system when I graduate very
soon, and I woould like to find out exactly what modules I will need
to make a 4 voice polyphonic system. So far, I have decided on these
modules:
8 vco's,4 multimode filters,4 vca's,4 envelope generators,4
frequency modulators.
What other modules do I need to make it polyphonic? For
instance, do I need to get several of the midi modules, or just one
really good midi interfac?

That's just what you need. Either 4 a190s or the big mcv24(or something like it) will do. There are no other modules you need to make 4 voices, but it sure would make it a lot more fun with say an lfo or two, some multijacks, a panner, a phaser, a divideror and a dist waveshaper. None is essential but getting such a big system like you atleast deserve some of those. I have the opposite of what you have. One module of each basicly and it is lot of fun and gives me THAT sound... as for bread and butter I have other modules and ROMPLERS. ----- Original Message -----

hi list, 4 a190's will not give you a polyphonic system but a 4 part multitimbral a100 system.you need the doepfer mcv24 to make a 4 voice polyphonic a100 system.the mcv24 has a special mode for 4 voice polyphonic operation of all it's 4 cv-midi converters. bakis. --- Andreas Lindholm <andreas.k.lindholm@telia.com> wrote: > That's just what you need. I wonder if anybody of you order your doepfer online and if so what stores are the cheapest?
