Doepfer

Hi list,
I just noticed on Doepfer website that MCV24 will no longer be
manufactured. I was wondering the reasons why what looks to me the
best MIDI->CV interface on the market would stop being produced ? Does
Doepfer plan to create a new powerfull interface ? Or does this one
'doesn't feet' the actual market ?

wow, thanks for pointing that out, i missed that on the doepfer site.
i guess i gotta go grab one ASAP if there is no bigger product  
planned...?

Ouch - any info on the amount of stock left? I was sort of planning on
getting my hands on one of these in the future, but was planning on getting
a few more modules first, so it would be nice to know how much of a hurry
I'm in...

It's simple: the sales of the MCV24 are very poor. For a new production
series we would have to manufacture (and pre-finance) 100 units. Based on
the current sales it would take about two years to sell the 100 units !

We still have about 15 units in stock.

There are no plans for a successor of the MCV24 (I cannot see why a
replacement would sell better).
