My A-121 is picking up radio waves. :-(

My A-121 is picking up radio waves. :-(

2008-01-27 by modularboy2

Hello!

I've got an A-121 that's picking up and outputting feint radio waves.
Is there anything I can do to fix it? With no input, the module will
output the feint radio sound when the audio and filter are turned up.
The filter does affect the noise/radio waves.

Thanks,
- Bret

Radio noise is often the result of unstable or unregulated power
conditions. I am having the same issue at home with certain effect
pedals.

I spoke to someone yesterday who said that the issue needs to be
addressed with something a little more industrial then something like
a power conditioner.

I haven't found exactly what will work safely and within a reasonable
persons budget.

If anyone knows any specific product please let us know.

Sorry I cant be more helpful.

Hey Guys,

I was using a Furman PL series power conditioner, which did little to
help my situation. I then picked up a power regenerating UPS system,
which basically takes utility AC, converts to DC then back to a
perfect AC sine. The difference is night and day across ALL of my
modules!

Check out the "SmartOnline" series from TrippLite, I've got the SU750XL.

Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. The strange thing is that ONLY the A-121 is
outputting radio waves. The rest of my modules sound great. I'll try
moving the module to a different rack and see if that helps. :-)
