DECENT FOUR CHANNELS PANNING MIXER

DECENT FOUR CHANNELS PANNING MIXER

2008-07-03 by bellenger_a

Hello,

I really would love to see such a module appear. I know its been discussed here a while
ago and that a few prototypes possibilities can be seen on the Doepfer website.

I find it realy strange that such a somehow basic and evident module is still missing in
euro rack format.

Is there an hidden reason behind that?

Dieter, can you tell us what's the state of developpement of such module?

I really really need it...

Maybe just a quite simple version. Inpiuts with knob, panning with knob and maybe CV...
and a common stereo out... already for me that will make it... having the possibility to pan
several sounds is very important...

For me that filter aspect is not that important for example....

Best,

Alexandre

The answer is quite simple: the inquiries for such a module are quite poor.
This is why nothing has changed so far. I don't think that we will release
this module or sub-system within the near future. It's still in the
prototype/development state and from our point of view there are more
important designs that have to be finished.

Best wishes

Because of http://www.thomann.de/fr/behringer_xenyx_802.htm ? A price
that never could be reached by Doepfer.

a combination of A134s and Plan B model 9 mixer(s) would maybe do
what you want?

OK... yes... but... still I'd like to have such features as a euro rack format type of module...

and no pan cv on Beringher or whatever other mixer...

well... Cwejman... yes but IT S RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE

maybe I wait for Plan B... but probably I have to wait very very very long...

COME ONE GUYS!!

Are the ones here using A100 as stage instrument or to record electronic music pieces
like... without overdubs... this would be such a practicle module...

I dont understand really...

and I cant really do this with any other module I think...

Hi Alexandre

To be honest, I do not understand, what shoudl be the use whithin(!) a
modular signal path. I'd see it at the end of the signal path. And there
is no reason (but mechanically) to have it "inside" the modular system.

I can imagine much more something like a mixer with pre/post-aux-like
distribution. If this had a also a pan then it would be nice. There is a
matrix-mixer from Ken Stone, which works similar like this idea.

Btw from the technical side this is the most simple project for diy. It
is nearly the ideal beginners project. The description exists on
http://www.doepfer.de/DIY/a100_diy.htm. -> Chapter 3.
