Two killer new records from snapped in half, and we couldn't have hoped for a better release date for these two spooky offerings: Total System Point Never - Power In That Which Compels You cdr Total System Point Never is Daniel Lopatin of Oneohtrix Point Never / Astronaut / Infinity Window <http://www.blogger.com/www.pointnever.com> on polyphonic synthesizers and Vinnie Paternostro of Total System Failure <http://www.blogger.com/www.myspace.com/totalsystemfailure999> and Sonic Suicide Squad <http://www.blogger.com/www.myspace.com/sonicsuicidesquad> on tenor sax. This disc sounds like John Zorn getting fucked up by Tangerine Dream, somewhere between free jazz skronk and future retro synth. This release represents the rebirth of snapped in half, the future is now. During that time Ross had sold everything he owned and moved to the country to get back to basics. Kinamets is NOT a drone record and is more in the form of early academic synthesizer recordings, it was recorded live on a EMS Synthi AKS.
