question about the A-138c

question about the A-138c

2009-01-08 by mirror_saw7778

if one of the pots is at 12 o'clock - is the signal at zero / silent /
muted?

I am not sure if the module just adds gain or if it starts by
attenuating, then adding gain.

Hope that made sense.

For what I understood & measured with a volt meter:
At zero it is muted/silent.Fully clockwise it is just passing through the
signal.
Fully anti-clockwise it is passing through the signal inverted.
Anything in between is attenuation.

Extra feature: if nothing is patched in to channel 1 it serves as an offset
generator. (Adding/subtracting accordingly to which way you turned its pot)
My 138c manages to add 5.8 volt and subtract 6.9 volt.

 Hope that helps.

Ernst
