hello to all - 
and, olli, funny you should post this today as i was going to ask about it  
myself -
 
in the 30 sec. attention span age of the internet, video`s  have  become a 
more prevelent way to disseminate information.  okay, fine as far  as that 
goes but what about that segment without fast internet - ?   downloading 
mp3`s is bad enough but streaming video (including youtube, vimeo,  etc.) isn`t 
feasible.  at the very least, some supporting text would be  nice.
 
that aside - 
what were the reactions to the touch kybd and other new modules - ?  i  
suspect i`m in the minority but i`d have preferred something more "controller"  
and less "sequencer" from the touch unit but we`ll see what, if anything,  
emerges.

Hi Dave,

The reactions were very good but the problem is to find a consensus
concerning the layout, shape, dimension and arrangement of the pads. Even
the interest in the new modules (especially the A-187-1 and A-143-4) very
very good. But from my feeling the most interest was on the low cost DIY
synth.

At first the touch keyboard is only a unit that transmits the information
which pad is touched (nothing but Midi note on/off). This information can be
used to drive e.g. a control module that outputs e.g. a single gate or
trigger signal for each pad (e.g. with LED display), one or more CV outputs
(equally tuned or with adjustable voltage for each pad) and many more. Or it
can be used to control a suitable sequencer unit.

My idea is to have a separate box (not a module) that is connected to the
control/sequencer module by a cable (like the A-198 manual). If desired the
box can be mounted as a module too (e.g. by means of a blind panel with a
cut-out that fits to the box).
