Has the A-190 midi to Cv outputs Hz/v? or do you know any other module that can?

Hi I have some metasonix vco's and A100 g6 with doepfer and other 3u modules. I need Hz/v CV for those vco's and I'm looking for something that can convert cv . I know the korg ms-2 but it's impossible to find . In the other hand there are midi to cv converters like kenton with hz/v output but I want something that transforms cv from cv if possible and is 3u. Does anyone know about something like that? Thanks ric

the a190-1 will do hz, here's the relevant info from the manual CV CHAR. This parameter sets the voltage control characteri- stics of the pitch CV output from the A-190, so that its possible to drive both common types of analog synth - older Korgs, Yamahas, etc., which have a linear re- sponse (Hz / V), and Rolands, ARPs, Moogs, etc., which have a logarithmic response (1V / octave). H For use just with the A-100, the V / octave response is all that is needed. The Hz / V option is provided purely for connecting to external synths which use that standard. M M M M V / Octave : PROG CHANGE 3 Hz / V : PROG CHANGE 4 Paul On 16 April 2010 09:06, Bakis Sirros <synth_freak_2000@yahoo.com> wrote: > > > elby designs was going to make a LIN to LOG (and vice versa) converter euro > module.... > > anyone knows anything about this module? > > > Bakis Sirros - Parallel Worlds / Interconnected / Memory Geist > > [Doepfer_a100] group owner > > www. parallel - worlds - music. com > > www. myspace. com/ parallelworldsmusic > > www. myspace. com/ interconnectedmusic > > www. myspace. com/ memorygeist > > www. As far as I remember Hz/V we discussed if we should remove the Hz/V mode from the A-190-1. But then we decided to leave it as kind of a "free gift" or hidden, untested feature ! It was a bit tricky because it's not a linear scale as in the V/octave mode. If one changes the scale in the Hz/V mode the complete log scale is affected. That's why the Hz/V mode is not a feature that is included in the product description. Best wishes Dieter Doepfer

Thanks a lot for the info. I'll be writing again with more questions like that. Thanks again Ric
