A-190-1 mcvs Arpeggiator?

A-190-1 mcvs Arpeggiator?

2011-06-04 by ricardo

Hi all!
I know this must have been mentioned before.:
Can you please give me some information on the A190's Arpeggiator?
Does the A190 include that feature nowadays?
What kind of Arpeggiator is it (Something like the Juno 60 one)?

I would appreciate any comment,

Any other Arpeggiator 3u module on the market ?
Thanks

ric

Hello Ric,

Take a look at the Quantimator. http://www.toppobrillo.com/quantimator.html It
can do chords and arpeggios.

Cheers,
George

Thanks

I'm sorry but the A-190-1 does not include an arpeggiator. There were plans
to add an arpeggiator when the module was designed about 15 years ago. But
we found that the processor power is not sufficient to add this feature. The
new A-190-3 USB/Midi-to-CV interface has an arpeggiator available (the
A-190-3 is nothing but the modular version of the Dark Energy USB/Midi
interface).

Best wishes
Dieter Doepfer

Hi,
We did have some elaborate discussion on the possible design of a VC arpeggiator module a few years ago on this list .

In fact, I would still welcome such a module:

-Midi in
-CV & GATE out
-aux CV out for accent etc.
-manual and VC of octave range, clock, gate length,
transpose (3rds, 4ths, 5th's, octave), register readout direction (up/down/random/etc)

could be a really nice module ...

Kind regards,
Joost
