mod for A-149-1 Quantized/Stored Random Voltages?

mod for A-149-1 Quantized/Stored Random Voltages?

2011-06-22 by sirolffoonav

dear all, would it be possible to make the A-149-1 Quantized/Stored Random Voltages output narrower? now the pulses are too long, it would be way handier for me if it were triggers or very narrow square waves.
please let me know what you think about this.
i know it's possible in combination with other modules, but modding this one would be handier;

thanks, floris

-for sale: A-100 DIY Kit #2: power supply board + transformer 40 euro (no buss boards)
-for sale: A-100 Miniature Power supply 25 euro
-for sale: A121 multimode filter (needs cem3320) 50 euro
-i'm looking for a second hand A-198 Ribbon Controller. i can pay or trade.
(i'm thinking about this or the makenoise pressure points, any tips or suggestions welcome)
-looking for a modular phaser
-always looking for build diy pcb's
-any tips on making the A-149-1 Quantized/Stored Random Voltages output narrow?

Did anyone try to come up with something to solve this?

Cheers

AW: [Doepfer_a100] mod for A-149-1 Quantized/Stored Random Voltages?

2019-01-29 by yahoo@doepfer.de

The A-149-1 generates quantized/stored random voltages similar to the Buchla
module (i.e. the voltage changes at each rising edge of the incoming clock
signal). If you want to obtain triggers you may use a voltage controlled
switch (e.g. A-150) that follows the A-149-1 output in question. Both
A-149-1 and A-150 can be controlled by the same clock signal. That way the
pulse width of the clock signal defines the width of the trigger signal. You
may use also a trigger delay module (A-162) to adjust the pulse width if
your clock source does not feature a variable pulse width.

It would be possible to modify the A-149-1 firmware for trigger outputs but
I'm quite sure that most users want to have the quantized/stored random
voltages as they are rather than trigger outputs.

Best wishes
