Re: changing the timing capacitors on A-162

hi Peter,

The Doepfer DIY page tells that doubling the capacitor value also doubles the time or period, when the capacitor value is increased tenfold even the time or period increases tenfold.

Standard value of the capacitors in the A-162 is 10uF, so the choice is yours.

feel free to check out http://patchpierre.blogspot.nl/2011/07/162-dual-trigger-delay.html for locating the capacitors and a link to an interesting blogpost from some-one who wanted shorter delays.

Good luck!

I want more control over the timing and have no need for the long delaytime
this module can produce.. Perfect would be something from 2ms to 2
seconds.. on doepfer website i read this is easy.. dont know what capacitor
is suited tho.. anyone have done this?
peace..

very nice blog! thing is I really don't now what a capacitor is more then
something electric and in this case what makes it possible to delay/gates..
so where can i find such a thing? and also what one if i like from 0,2 to 2
seconds (or close to that somewhere).
Thanks Pierre!
