My a-152 only works in the last 4 steps. It doesnt goes to,the first ones at all. Maybe i should try and replace ome of the ic's? Cheers, Dennis -- Music at: http://www.mono-poly.nl [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

You may replace the processor but I cannot guarantee that this will solve the problem. Even if one of the DG408 multiplexers has a short circuit the same symptom would occur. I'd recommend to send in the module for repair. Best wishes Dieter Doepfer

Dear members, here are some A-100 news: The small version of the multiple A-180 is available in April 2013 (2 HP only, name: A-180-2) The A-130 (linear VCA) is now delivered with a precision VCA circuit (SSM2164) instead of the CA3080. The new A-130 is DC-coupled. The A-131 (exponential VCA) is now delivered also with an improved VCA circuit (high end THAT VCA circuit instead of the CA3080). The new A-131 is DC-coupled. The A-135 will be available from about May 2013 in a revised version with DC coupling of the signals and single outputs, i.e. it can be used also as 4 separate linear VCAs with manual gain, CV in with attenuator and signal in with attenuator. Because of the DC coupling it can be used also for modulation signal processing (i.e. voltage controlled mixing of control signals). The module A-171-2 (licensed copy of the Serge/CGS VCS) will be available about end of April or early in May 2013. We will show the prototype of the new version of the A-190-5 Polyphonic USB/Midi-to-CV/Gate Interface (with LCD) and the A-190-8 USB/Midi-to-Sync Interface at the Musikmesse in Frankfurt. These modules will be available about summer 2013. We will hopefully also show the "large" version of the trigger sequencer A-157/miniature Schaltwerk (8 rows with 16 steps each). The 8x16 button/LED board is ready but I cannot guarantee that the controller board will be also ready for the Musikmesse. That's it for now .... Best wishes Dieter Doepfer

That's very good news ! Thank you especially for the improved A-130, A-131 and A-135. Also the A-171-2 is going to be great, though I find the graphics to be a little confusing. Are the "curves" pictures really necessary ? I think there's already a lot of info on little panel space... Of course it's a personal preference. I LOVE reading manuals (and I like yours very much) but I know some people do not... One more question : in exp. mode, do the "CV up" and "CV down" pots control the slew shape even if there is no control voltage at the "CV up" and "CV down" inputs ? Thomas

But unfortunately it also has some influence to the frequency in LFO mode (i.e. when you change the shapes also the frequency changes). In slew or envelope mode that's not a real problem, but it's not possible to change only the shape of the LFO without changing the frequency a bit. Also the V/Oct input is not really V/Oct. We will change the label on the front panel probably to "exp.CV". Best wishes Dieter Doepfer

Since this "imperfection" is clearly stated I'm sure nobody will complain. I think people will agree if I say that analogue gear imperfections are part of its charms. Thomas

great news about the improvement of the audio Quality of the A130/131 VCA modules! well done Dieter! also, can't wait for the A-157 Trigger Sequencer (mini-Schaltwerk) modules! regarding the Volt/Oct input of the A171-2 (Serge) Slope module, as far as i know, the Dual Transient Generator (or Dual Universal Slope Generator, its the same design) track well for about 3 octaves. but, of course, they are not temperature compensated. so, as the A171-2 is a serge design, the slope module should also track ok for about 3 octaves. if this is the case, maybe you should leave the Volt/Oct input named as such...? thanks, Bakis. ________________________________

Hi Dieter, Not sure how close to the CGS design this is re: power but any thoughts on if I could run it on a +/-15V system? Thanks David
