Does the MAQ 16/3 have this function?

Thanks

Unfortunately, it does not. There are ways to achieve this feature by using a complex arrangement of midi commands, but nothing is possible via the front panel. Using the midi commands would be cumbersome and would likely restrict your workflow.

Nick does software version 3 have a step off function?

This would only be useful if it was front panel usable.

The MAQ needs 3 pole switches on each step like the dark time.

I think it can programming on single step mode.

Thanks for the reply.

I could do with details as it will influence whether I order a MAQ or 2 x Dark Times.

I would like to be able to skip and bring back a step in a live situation.

Thanks Anoop

You could set up a midi controller to turn a step's value on and off, but not skip. You can turn it off via front panel if in PA1-5 modes, as fully clockwise = off/mute, but then you can't easily return to the original value. If you really want more hands-on control and easy setup, go with the Dark Times. I think with the DTs you'll also get shuffle and glide, but I don't recall off hand.

AW: [Doepfer_a100] Skip-step

First of all: A happy New Year to all members. I'm back from the
Christmas/New Year break and will answer all questions little by little.

The MAQ has no skip function but only a step off function (available via the
single step). For live situations that's not very handy and I'd recommend
the Dark Time.

Best wishes
